Change Is Waiting

Ignorance is beautiful.

It means we can learn.

Years ago, I thought I cared nothing for this rock planet.

I learned I cared for its inhabitants.

Years ago, I thought vegetarianism was enough.

I learned the horrors of using any creature.

Years ago, I thought veganism was a pseudo-science diet.

I learned it’s a stand against slavery.

Years ago, I thought life had no value.

I learned mine could save other lives that did.

Years ago, I thought friends were an illusion.

I learned they’re who’re true and who challenge you.

Years ago, I thought I could judge others by look.

I learned bodies are just shells of our souls.

Years ago, I thought opportunity was something given.

I learned it’s the one thing we make.

Years ago, I thought humanity a virus.

I learned viruses can truly change.

Change is waiting.
